new home wishlist

friends - I am the worst, I know. I haven't been keeping my promise to blog 3 times per week, and I'm SORRY! I really want to be the best blogger ever, but life freaking happens.

recently there were some major changes in my life and as a result I'm moving into my own apartment (and it is the apartment of my DREAMS)! life has just been a blur as I've tried to prepare for the move in such a short period of time: I'm moving in less than one month, and I'm also going on vacation for a few days before the move. so, I haven't really had time to blog. any spare time I've had in the last week has been dedicated to sleep and netflix, my two truest loves.

the best part of moving into a new house is a fresh decorative palate. because I've been renting basements with roommates forever, I've never gotten to think about how I'd like to style my own space. I'm on the most budget-y budget of all budgets, so I'm trying to find cute & low-cost decor for the new place. here are a few budget-friendly wishlist items.

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight / nine

okay, so that last one was a bit of a splurge. there's a restoration hardware right next to where I work and last year they had a giant boxing day sale, and I deeply regretted not getting that blanket (it was on sale for $40!). the vanilla and fig candle is my all-time favourite smell, and although those candles are pricey, they burn forever and just make me feel so at peace. the frame is cool because I recently got a few of my instagram pictures printed out in 3x3 squares, and I have no way of displaying them. the Audrey quote dish is something I've been eying up for months.

what are your decor must-haves when styling a new place? anything that is more wish-list than realistic? obviously I need to focus on the essentials before I buy adorable decorations, but it's okay to dream, right? xo.
